The report
The Yeth Hound is a spectral, headless black dog of Devon lore, associated with the souls of unbaptised children. Its howling is said to echo through the countryside at night, frightening travelers. Collected by folklorists such as Sabine Baring-Gould, the Yeth Hound legend fed into later depictions of ghostly hounds in literature.
