The report
In 1930, fur trapper Joe Labelle claimed to have discovered the Inuit village on Anjikuni Lake completely deserted. Homes, food supplies, and personal belongings were left behind, and even sled dogs were found dead. RCMP investigations found inconsistencies in the story, leading many to consider it folklore or fabrication. However, it remains a staple of Canadian mystery lore.
