The report
The Tokoloshe is a creature from Zulu mythology said to be a dwarf-like water sprite that can become invisible by drinking water. It is feared for its alleged powers to cause illness or death and is blamed for various misfortunes. People often place their beds on bricks to avoid being grabbed by the Tokoloshe during the night. This folklore remains a deeply ingrained part of South African cultural beliefs.
