The report
On March 13, 1997, thousands of people across Phoenix and surrounding areas reported seeing a massive V-shaped formation of lights in the sky. The lights were visible for several hours, and many witnesses described seeing a huge, silent craft moving overhead. Despite various explanations (such as flares from military exercises), the Phoenix Lights event remains one of the most well-known UFO sightings in the United States, with no definitive explanation.
