The report
In the early 1600s, Spanish missionaries reported that Native Americans in New Mexico spoke of visits from a 'Lady in Blue,' describing her as a woman dressed in blue robes who taught them Christian prayers. This figure was later identified with Sister María de Ágreda, a Spanish nun who claimed to have spiritually bilocated to the New World while never leaving her convent in Spain.
