The report
In the 1870s, the Croglin Grange Vampire case was recorded by folklorist Augustus Hare. A young woman claimed a creature with long nails and glowing eyes attacked her at night, biting her neck. The creature fled but was later tracked to a crypt in a nearby churchyard, where a mummified body was found. The case is controversial but remains one of Britain’s few vampire legends.
