The report
In Chilote mythology, the Caleuche is a ghost ship that sails the seas near Chiloe Island, often seen during the night of foggy weather. It is said to be crewed by drowned sailors who celebrate and party aboard. The ship is silent, glowing and can appear and disappear at will. Stories describe it rescuing shipwreck survivors or abducting people.
