The report
The SS Baychimo was abandoned in 1931 after being trapped in ice off the Alaskan coast. Despite being left for lost, the ship was repeatedly sighted drifting in Arctic waters for nearly 40 years, earning it the nickname 'The Ghost Ship of the Arctic'. Her final confirmed sighting was in 1969, and she was never recovered.
