The report
In 1976, multiple military radar stations in Tehran, Iran, tracked an unidentified flying object that was seen in the skies by many residents. The object reportedly emitted a brilliant light and maneuvered in ways that defied conventional aircraft. Two Iranian F-4 Phantom fighter jets were sent to intercept the UFO, but the jets were reportedly disabled as they got closer. One pilot even reported experiencing interference with their flight instruments. The Tehran UFO incident remains one of the most compelling UFO cases involving military engagement.
