The report
The Shug Monkey of Cambridgeshire is a folkloric creature combining features of a dog and a monkey. Said to have been seen on Slough Hill Lane (between West Wratting and Balsham). First recorded in James Wentworth Day’s *Here Are Ghosts and Witches* (1954). No recent verified sightings, so largely a piece of local myth now, but considered obscure and distinct in appearance and locale. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
