The report
In traditional Veddha mythology of Sri Lanka, the Nittaewo were small, bipedal creatures, around 3–4 feet tall, that attacked primates in the forests. Although widely considered mythical, reports date back to the 19th century when British colonialists recorded testimony of local trackers finding tracks and disturbed wildlife. The Nittaewo remain one of Asia’s more bizarre cryptid legends :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}.
