The report
Morgawr is a sea serpent (literally means 'sea giant') in Cornish folklore. First appeared in stories around 1975. Described variously as long neck, black or brown skin, sometimes four webbed feet, powerful tail. Local fishermen blamed poor catches on its appearance. Some academic research suggests it began as a hoax by Tony 'Doc' Shiels, but many locals continue to report sightings. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}
