The report
Houska Castle, constructed in the 13th century, stands on an isolated cliff and is notable for its lack of defensive purpose—there is no kitchen, water source, or trade route nearby. Legend claims it was built to seal a bottomless pit from which terrifying creatures emerged. Prisoners were allegedly lowered into the pit as experiments, and many went insane after resurfacing. Paranormal investigators today report strange noises, apparitions, and oppressive atmospheres inside.
