The report
The Blue Men (or 'Na Fir Ghorma') are sea-spirits of Scottish Gaelic folklore who inhabit the Minch channel. Said to row in the sea and challenge sailors with riddles, these beings are depicted as blue-skinned, humanlike creatures who can capsize ships if angered. Although folkloric, the Blue Men have long been reported in coastal oral tradition and appear in 19th-century collections of Highland tales.
